What are the benefits of a split system?

Split systems have two main components; an indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor section is the air conditioner or heat pump. The indoor section consists of a matched air handler or coil. These two sections work together to provide top performance, maximum efficiency and comfort.

Air handlers are used typically in climates with lower heat requirements. Electrical heat strips can be added to the air handler for supplemental heat. Coils are used in applications where furnaces are typically the main source of heat.
